What a World is a beautiful 2-part (one note has 3-part harmony!) choral piece that talks about how the Earth provides for us, so we need to do the right thing and take care of her. The harmonies are easy to learn because they are created by 2 partner songs that are sung separately and then together. The interlude of the piece has flowing Baroque-style harmonies and accompaniment. The ranges fits very nicely in children's voices, and this charming song is sure to be a favorite!
This is a great song for 4th-8th grade. |
Junk Food Blues is a bluesy 2-part choral piece about how when you eat junk food, you feel yucky! Great for schools that are trying to implement healthy eating options for class parties, or schools who are changing their lunch menus to include healthier foods. This song goes right along with healthy living topics that are taught in many PE curricula.
There are fun solo opportunities, and a great call and response spoken interlude that adds some variety. The ending has cool echos that create easy-to-learn harmonies. This piano score includes a transcription of the trumpet solo. This song works well for 4th-8th grade. |
Put the Power in Your Feet is a 50s style 3-part harmony piece, in which the 3 parts are easy to learn because they are so independent. The accompaniment track features a 50s-style Hammond organ, so you will be taken back in time! The piece will start conversations among your students about wanting to ride bikes to get around to help the planet. There is opportunity for some jitterbug or swing dancing during the instrumental solo. Put those poodle skirts on and dance your bobby socks off! Your kids will be boppin’ around to this fun favorite!
This is a great song for 4th-8th grade. Your kids will love this 2-part fun rap with driving electronic backup. Halfway through, there is an easy melodic ostinato that accompanies the rap. Let your rappers, beat boxers, and break/hip hop dancers shine during this fun piece!
Think Twice will start some important conversations about our consumer culture, and how everything we buy uses resources from the planet. The song gives alternatives to buying everything new, and it explains why this is an important issue for our planet. This is a great song for middle school choirs. |
