Sing the World Green believes in equality, and justice and opportunity for all people. We are heartened by the global shift in consciousness, with protests over the deaths of unarmed black people at the hands of police happening all over the world. We stand strong in the fight for racial justice.
The ways we have been and will continue to support racial justice are:
1. Continue to provide equal access to our camps through scholarships for underserved youth.
2. Utilize contractors that are black-owned when possible.
3. Make an effort to collaborate with people of color when creating curriculum, writing songs, developing programming, etc.
3. Continue to incorporate racial justice teaching into our environmental curriculum. The intersection between the two issues cannot be ignored because many environmental problems more adversely affect communities of color.
