Sing the World Green Team after-school club
Another form of Sing the World Green, which is smaller and more intimate, is the after-school green team club. Instead of a large choir, there are just a handful of students, which enables us to do more projects, as well as explore the issues more deeply.
The first after-school green team club was in the spring of 2022. The theme was composting and recycling. The projects we did, as you'll see in the photos below, were collecting leaves to put in our compost, making informational posters about our school's new lunch composting program, and collecting reusable recycled paper to cut and make into paper pads. They sang songs about recycling and composting as well. They shared their songs and stories in an informal setting with smaller audiences, allowing them to answer questions and personally give out the recycled paper pads that they had made.
