In 2011, Amy Sebesta Self composed her first Sing the World Green song, "Rainbow on My Plate," to teach about and inspire healthy eating. Her music students at Ryan Elementary created a video of the song, which was posted on the website of the School Food Project after it was first produced. Boulder Valley School District chef, Ann Cooper, has spearheaded healthy eating options in Boulder Valley schools, as well as being an advocate on the national level for healthy foods in school lunches. Her work was one of the initial inspirations for Sing the World Green.
